Sixty Eight New BBC Feeds!
( |
)
|
From Kevin Hinde at BBC News Interactive comes word that "We now have RSS feeds for all our News indexes. Sport should follow soon. We haven't quite worked out how to publicise them yet, we need to persuade our graphic designers that the orange XML lozenge is a beautiful complement for their delightful layout, so it's all a bit samizdat at the moment, but I thought you might like to know."

News Syndication
( |
)
|
Over the past few years, many readers have asked us if there was a way for them to syndicate our news items on their website. Now we have the ability to let other sites use Coming Soon!'s headlines.
We are providing the ability to syndicate our news in two different ways. The first method is very simple using javascript, but it doesn't provide much functionality. The second method uses RSS and provides you with lots of ways to format the news. Both will be discussed in enough detail that will allow most people to be able to get the scripts up and running in a matter of minutes.

Wired News
( |
)
|
Wired News can now be syndicated quickly and easily using our new lineup of Really Simple Syndication feeds.
Based on the XML data format, RSS is the simplest way to add Wired News headlines to your site. By using our RSS feeds, you'll be able to display the latest Wired News headlines and story descriptions on your own Web pages, in real time.
We have feeds for Wired News' four main sections -- Technology, Culture, Business and Politics -- and the various subtopics that fall under each, including Gadgets and Gizmos, Med-Tech Center and Cult of Mac.
You may use our RSS feeds to your heart's content, provided you do not publish the full text of our articles. You must also properly reference "Wired News" as the source -- either with the logo image we've included in the RSS code, or in text. Use of the Wired News logo is limited to the source attribution for the RSS feeds only.
Not to sound too corporate, but Wired News reserves the right to revoke RSS syndication privileges at any time, for any reason (our lawyers made us say that).
That said, link away! And let us know where your site is and how we can make these feeds even more user-friendly. Because it's all about you.
